MORE INFO:
Anita Killi and Claus Gladyszak are the hosts of the Artist in Residence Program at Trollfilm animation studio in Dovre, Norway.
Anita Killi is an animator, director, scriptwriter, and CEO who graduated from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in 1996 with a masters-equivalent degree in animation (multiplane technique). She established and runs Trollfilm, creating award-winning films that tackle difficult topics for young audiences while combining artistic expression with important social issues. In 2020, Anita became a member of the Oscar academy. After going through chemotherapy for cancer, she now focuses more on writing and directing.
Claus Gladyszak is an industrial designer, business developer and strategist with over 25 years of experience in design and visual communication. He currently works at VIS – the Western Norway Innovation Center and has been a key advisor to Trollfilm, especially in developing the new studio at Dovre and its custom-built multiplane stand. His main focus is to help Trollfilm flourish also in the future as a film company in the future within its niche of lyric poetic animations.
Together, they oversee Trollfilm's Artist in Residence Program, which was restarted in 2024 after they rebuilt their old barn into a state-of-the-art animation studio and gallery during 2023. The program invites artists from all over the world to spend days, weeks, or even several months in Dovre to work on their own artistic projects, collaborate on Trollfilm's films, or participate in workshops. The program covers travel and living costs, provides necessary materials, and organizes visits to cultural events and trips into the Norwegian countryside. Over recent years, they have hosted artists from Slovenia, Russia, Sweden, France, Belgium, and The Netherlands, fostering international collaboration and cultural exchange in the heart of the Norwegian mountains.
