Our signature is creating lyric, poetic works using multiplane cut-out technique that touch audiences deeply and continue to resonate long after the credits roll. The studio is located in Dovre, a small village in the Norwegian mountains, surrounded by several national parks. Trollfilm was founded in 1995 by Oscar Academy member Anita Killi on an old farm where she also produced milk for 20 years. That's why Trollfilm carries a crowned cow in our logo—a reminder that authentic craft and honest work are at the heart of what we do. We have transformed the old barn into a three-story, modern state-of-the-art film studio dedicated to multiplane animation and stop-motion cinema—a space where artistry meets purpose.
