Trollfilm is a growing animation studio specializing in high-quality handmade animation. Our trademark is producing meaningful, lyric films using multiplane cut-out technique that are both entertaining and educational. Trollfilm currently has several new projects in development.

The studio is located in Dovre, a small village in the Norwegian mountains, surrounded by several national parks. Trollfilm was founded in 1995 by Oscar Academy member Anita Killi on an old farm where she also produced milk for 20 years. That’s why Trollfilm have a crowned cow in our logo. We have now completed the transformation of the old barn into a three-story, modern state-of-the-art film studio dedicated to multiplane animation and stop-motion films.
