Casper Høyberg is a Danish cinematographer, producer, and partner at Copenhagen Film Company. Born on March 17, 1966, he graduated as a cinematographer from The Danish Film School in 1993.
Høyberg has established himself as a prominent figure in Danish documentary filmmaking, having shot more than twenty films for The Danish Film Institute and DR (The Danish Broadcasting Corporation). His work is characterized by a unique way of capturing the inner, aesthetic beauty in his films.
His most acclaimed work is the documentary "Within My Eyes," which brought him international recognition. The film won Casper Høyberg an IDFA Silver Cup Award in 2006 and a Discovery Silverdoc Cinematic Vision Award in 2007.
Beyond his cinematography work, Høyberg is dedicated to film education. Alongside his job as a cinematographer and producer, Casper teaches photography at The Danish Film School - the very same school from which he himself graduated. He also works as a technical consultant on interactive CD-ROMs and DVD-ROMs at the Danish Film Institute.
Casper is highly skilled in all aspects of cinematography, ranging from 35mm to DV. Besides his vital role in the documentary department at CFC, he continues to work on various productions, including recent projects such as "Hyrdebrevet - Biskoppens kamp mod nazismen" (2023).
As a partner at Copenhagen Film Company, Høyberg plays a key role in the company's documentary and short film production division, contributing to their reputation for authentic storytelling with cinematic aesthetics.
