MORE INFO:
Georg Neubert is a producer, writer and director, and co-founder of Reynard Films. The company is based in Leipzig and focuses on international, author-driven productions — with a special emphasis on stop-motion animation and collaborations with partners across many countries.
Georg was born in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), in 1988, in former East Germany. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Dresden University of Technology. During his studies, he began exploring storytelling and scriptwriting autodidactically.
He gained early experience through an internship with the German Red Cross, for whom he wrote and directed a corporate film. Later, he moved to Munich and worked with a documentary filmmaker, a script consultant, and a distributor — while also writing scripts for features, shorts and series.
Georg further developed his producing skills through the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris program, including an internship at HanWay Films in the UK.
Together with Katharina Weser, he founded Reynard Films in Leipzig. He has since participated in various programs for emerging producers (including the Robert Bosch Film Prize and the Winterclass), and is active in developing and co-producing projects across Europe and beyond — with a strong interest in stop-motion animation.
