Košťál is a producer at the acclaimed Czech production company Bionaut, known for its bold storytelling and innovative visual style across film, television, and animation. He specializes in international co-productions and is drawn to projects with strong emotional impact and artistic ambition.

Jakub has worked across a variety of formats, including animated shorts, live-action drama, and episodic content. He is deeply committed to supporting creative voices and meaningful storytelling.

Member of Czech Film and Television Academy, member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, and the winner of the International 

Emmy Award 2020 for series #martyisdead. He started his career in Czech Television. His love for cinema took him first to FAMU, where he studied production, and then to Bionaut. He has twice participated in the MIDPOINT Script Development Program and attended ACE Training Days 2019. He is currently working on several projects at Bionaut (films and series).

He is part of the magazine Planet Dark and a big fan of hobby-horsing.
