MORE INFO:

Martin Killi (1933–2026)

Martin Killi was a key figure at Trollfilm AS, where he served as Chairman of the Board from the company's founding in 1995 until 1 September 2025. Together with his daughter, director and animator Anita Killi, he was a driving force behind the transformation of Trollfilm from a small farm-based studio in Dovre into an award-winning animation house with international recognition.

Killi played a vital role in the practical and financial development of the studio. Among his many contributions, he helped convert the family farm's old barn into a modern animation facility. The new studio was officially opened in 2023, in celebration of his 90th birthday — an event marked with a four-day celebration featuring film screenings, art exhibitions, and visits from both national and international film professionals.

In addition to his role at Trollfilm, Killi held numerous leadership positions in local businesses in and around Dombås, including chairmanships in Dombås Hyttepark AS, Storrusten AS, Snøhetta Næringspark AS, and Ødegaarden Bakeri og Konditori AS. He was also the largest shareholder in Dombås Outlet AS. These roles reflected his broad commitment to local economic development and community building.

Killi was also actively engaged in cultural and educational initiatives, notably serving as a board member of the Hjerleid Foundation, which supports crafts education and cultural heritage in the region.

Through a lifetime of dedication to art, business, and community, Martin Killi was a cornerstone in Trollfilm's journey and a vital supporter of its growth and innovation.

Martin Killi passed away on 2 March 2026. He is deeply missed by his family, his colleagues at Trollfilm, and the wider community he served with such dedication.
