MORE INFO:

The Norwegian Film Institute is the state's administrative body for film and video games, under the Ministry of Culture and Equality.

We provide grants for the development, production, launch and distribution of films, series and games. We administer the incentive scheme for international film and series productions in Norway, and provide grants for international co-productions. We help Norwegian productions participate and gain attention at international arenas such as festivals, sales markets and trade fairs.

We operate film distribution in several areas: At the Cinematek, we bring film history to life and highlight new artistic films from around the world. We facilitate the use of film in schools. Through grants to film clubs and festivals, we contribute to a vibrant film culture throughout the country.

We organize courses, professional days and seminars for the audiovisual industry in Norway and strengthen competence in the industry by sharing knowledge.
