DOVRE, January 2026 – The exhibition Loud Silence by artist in residence Idun Isdrake has now come to an end. The works have been taken down, the gallery quiet once more. But the experience lives on – through images, through film, and through those who found their way to us during this brief window.

As hosts of the Trollfilm Artist in Residence program, we – Anita and Claus – were deeply moved by the warm reception from everyone who visited the gallery at Killi Megarden. To see guests engage so thoughtfully with Isdrake's work, and with Ravens Ice, the collaborative film she created with fellow resident Dennis Inuk Aningaaq Møller, was a true joy.

We also had the pleasure of offering a sneak preview on the Friday before the official opening, welcoming representatives from Innlandet fylkeskommune and Østnorsk Filmsenter. They too expressed enthusiasm for the exhibition's timely themes and its striking multimedia expression – a reminder that art can speak powerfully to the challenges of our time.

2025 was the International Year of Glacier's Preservation, and Loud Silence responded to this moment with urgency and beauty. The exhibition was open for just two days – a deliberate echo of the message within: our window for action on climate change is also closing fast. We're grateful to everyone who took the time to experience this work while it was here.

For those who missed it, or who wish to revisit the collaboration between Isdrake and Møller, the film Ravens Ice can be viewed here.

Trollfilm's Artist in Residence program is funded by Innlandet fylkeskommune.
