MorE INFO:
Ingrid Lindberg (https://ingridlindberg.com) is a university-educated artist working with visual arts, sculpture, and film. She holds a Master's degree in Curating for Film and Video and brings extensive experience in project management for various cultural initiatives.
Lindberg's work demonstrates a commitment to preserving and presenting local history through contemporary media. Her notable documentary film Augusta på Rävås explores the life of Augusta Karlsson, who lived from 1864 to 1953 on Rävås above Slottet near Hamburgsund in Northern Bohuslän. The film chronicles Karlsson's simple life through periods of poverty, the herring boom, stone quarrying era, and wartime, utilizing interviews and archival images from sources including the Hamburgsund Image Archive and Digital Museum.
As a curator and educator, Lindberg has contributed to the academic discourse on film curation. She co-curated a Film Curator Seminar with Erika Wachenfeldt during the Gothenburg Film Festival 2019 at Valand Academy, focusing on the concept of film curating. This event also served as a retrospective on the unique Master's Program in Film with specialization in Curator for Film and Video, which was offered at Valand Academy from 2010-2019.
Lindberg's collaborative approach to filmmaking is evident in her work with various artists, including her assistance to filmmaker Anita Killi on The Daughter of the Sun and her film collaboration Klara & Marvin with Gustav Öberg, which premiered at Gerlesborg School in Bohuslän in November 2017.
Her artistic practice combines documentary filmmaking with visual storytelling, often drawing inspiration from local history and personal narratives to create works that bridge past and present.
