Liv Ullmann - Born in Tokyo in 1938 to Norwegian parents, Liv Ullmann became one of cinema's most celebrated actresses through her extraordinary collaborations with Swedish director Ingmar Bergman. She appeared in ten of his films, including masterpieces like Persona (1966), Shame (1968), The Passion of Anna (1969), and Scenes from a Marriage (1973), establishing herself as one of the most psychologically compelling performers in world cinema.


Ullmann's filmography extends far beyond her Bergman work. She appeared in Hollywood productions such as The Emigrants (1971) and The New Land (1972), both of which earned her Academy Award nominations for Best Actress. Her international career included collaborations with directors like Jan Troell and Luis Buñuel, showcasing her versatility across different cinematic traditions.


In addition to acting, Ullmann made her mark as a filmmaker, directing several features including Sofie (1992) and Private Confessions (1996). She also provided the voice of the mother in the Norwegian film Angry Man, adding her distinctive presence to the medium of voice acting.
