MorE INFO:

Maja Arnekleiv (born 1997) is a filmmaker and nature conservationist from Dovre, Norway. She grew up in the mountains with her family's sheep and dairy farm, alongside her mother's animation studio. When Maja was 16, her mother was diagnosed with cancer, prompting her to document their family's journey through more than 3,000 photographs over two years. She transformed 755 of these images into her debut film "Mum's Hair," a touching pixilated documentary that captures the power of preserving good memories during difficult times.

Maja currently works as a Nature Manager and Department Engineer at NINA (Norwegian Institute for Nature Research) in Lillehammer, where she has been employed since August 2024.
