Tuva Synnevåg is a Norwegian animator from Tjøme, born in 1980. She studied animation at Høgskulen i Volda from 2005-2009, specializing in drawn animation. Her graduation film Sáiva (2009), set in a Sami-mythological landscape, has been screened at numerous international festivals and won several awards, including the Norwegian Film Association's Professional Prize and the Film Critics' Prize at the 2010 Short Film Festival.


Synnevåg has created animation sequences for various films, including Superpappa og Pelé (2010), Jenteloven (2016), Barndom (2017), and Når knoklene blir til gelé (2017). She has also worked on two short films directed by Kajsa Næss: Du velger selv (2012), which received the Government's Human Rights Prize, and It Was Mine (2014). She was an Artist in Residence at Trollfilm. She has been active in the animation field since 2009.
